The Albatross diet in general consists of mainly cephalopods, fish and crustaceans (krill), although they will also scavenge carrion and zooplankton. The Chatham Albatross however only feeds on squid, fish and crustaceans (krill). The Chatham Albatross gets the food by flying over the sea, perhaps for days at a time, and soaring down, catching its food 'on the wing'.
